About us

qwabbl is a place for focused conversation. People gather in channels, write posts, and reply — and follow the channels that matter to them. It is built to feel calm: conversations that have run their course quietly fade away on their own, so what you see is what is alive right now.

Who we are

qwabbl is built and operated by pocketservices GmbH, an independent software company based in Schmitten im Taunus, near Frankfurt, Germany. We have been building communication software since 2014.

How it works

Every channel is one of four kinds. Public channels are open to the world — anyone can read and search them. Premium channels are publicly discoverable, but their content is reserved for paying supporters — access is proven with your own wallet. Private channels are invitation-only and end-to-end encrypted, so their contents never leave your circle in readable form. Personal channels are a quiet space just for you.

Updates arrive in real time, and qwabbl speaks English, German and Lithuanian.

Privacy by design

We try to collect as little as possible. Private channels are encrypted on your device with keys we cannot read. We never store your full IP address — only a coarse, country-level approximation used for abuse prevention and simple statistics. Sensitive material at rest is additionally wrapped with a server key, so a copy of the database alone reveals nothing.

Payments

Authors can receive tips on their posts, settled on the Solana network. qwabbl never takes custody of your funds or your wallet.
